Installing Big Foot Switches.

Featured Replies

Ok, I have bought two big foot switches, and have the wiring run.  My question is this, does anyone find they stumble on the switches when fishing?   I was actually thinking of mounting them on the vertical portion of the bench seat, and just flipping them on by hand, so there is nothing on the floor that I may stumble on.   Any ideas???

Had 3 of them wired up front on my Triton for 6 years and never had a problem with any of them being in the way. The key is to position them well forward or off to the sides within inches of your boats deck edge/glass interface, not out in the middle of the deck.

I have used Big Foot switches on every boat I've owned since their invention and before that we used automotive dimmer switches; never had a problem with stumbling over them.
