Anyone familiar with Long Lake in WA?   Going to be there at the end of June.    How’s the fishing?   Any recommendations on what to use that time of year?   Never fished the NW and really looking forward to it.   Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Sorry, didn't realize that.  Buddy said it's in Spokane and sometimes referred to as Lake Spokane as well.

Long is an awesome fishery. It is actually a river reservoir and not a lake. So you have current moving through there. There are some big smallies in there. 5#ers are caught often enough. Along with up to 7 pound largemouth. Also there are pike that will every once in awhile steal your cranks and jerkbaits(not as many since they gIll netted them a couple years ago) I have always done well with crayfish colored cranks. Guys pull 20#+ bags out of there in the tournaments.  Also there are big walleye, crappie, and trout in there.

That is great to hear.   Thanks so much for the info.   Anything other than crankbaits in late June?  

@Glenn not sure if you saw my follow up to your question.  Are you familiar with the lake I referenced?  Would truly appreciate any of your thoughts.   Thanks!!

I haven't fished that lake since I was a kid.  But like any other lake I fish for the first time without knowing anything about it, I'd start fishing the main lake and secondary points until I connect with fish.  Then refine from there.

Heading up there next week.  Thanks for the suggestions.  Can't wait!!
