Helix 5 Sonar G2 GPS advice.

Featured Replies

I scored a Helix 5 and mount system from fish finder mounts a few days ago. Couldn't pass up the deal at $250 for my kayak. The mounting system itself retails at $165 and the Helix is brand new.

Can anyone recommend a GPS solution that is cost effective to for waypoints and navigation? Trying to stay low cost the unit doesn't have those options. Couldn't find much via cell phone apps. Thank you in advance.

If your unit is a helix 5  G2 GPS, all you have to do is buy a lakemaster or navionics micro sd card for  your area.

Then Just plug the card  into your unit and go.

if your unit does not have GPS. ANGLR is a neat little bluetooth device that ties to your phone. there are a few videos on youtube showing how it works. you can buy the device on amazon. The app is free.

Awesome thank you I will check it out ?

Congratulations, but that package seems kinda expensive not to get all you needed.  I was really looking hard at some g2 helix.

What kind or mounting solution are you going with?

It came with this setup. Pretty nice I put the Helix and transducer on in about 30 seconds.cY4l5WY.jpg
