  1. New Video with my Modifications. 3rd Wave of changes... New extended deck, lights, live well, storage hatch, Garmin force, rod box with 10 slots
  2. I stopped by a boat shop and purchased the impeller that same day I asked. The guy gave me the gaskets as well. I will post the gasket part numbers later. Putting that lower unit in was tough... I had to make sure the lower unit was in neutral, the little gear/rod controls that. I replaced the In-Line Fuel filter... What a pain!!! The spark plugs distributors are in the way!!!! I zip-tied the last one on rather that bolted it. It will only make the service easier when I do the plugs. Also, I am going to get a longer gas line and move the filter to the other side where there is a TON of room. The filters, impeller, and fluids were all good. I kept the old impeller and "easy" fuel filter housing for emergency spare parts for now. Part Numbers: Gaskets 27-822189 27-8M4502052 Impeller 47-19453T In-Line Fuel Filter a35-879885 Fuel Filter 879884T

  5. Exactly! There is NO COMPETITION! Garmin wins. It is THERE technology. I always assumed the lawsuit settlement agreement was that Garmin could go back to using down imagaing and garmin would license the livescope technology to Lowrance... I am a Garmin user and just do not like the interfacing of the other brands, but I would like to use the Revel overlay. I think that is very good.
  6. Day before my road trip, I ran out and purchased a spare tire and ubolt. A few thousand miles later, it is still good. I will probably upgrade to one with a lock later... But for now this works. I need to get a trailer jack. I have a couple blocks of wood that I would use with the truck jack for now. There is a trailer jack that you just attach and go in reverse and it pops right up.
  7. Well, I do go and just watch nature. Very thrilling the closer they get and go without spotting me. I film sometimes.
  8. I love fishing... Been fishing since I was 3 years old. Everyone who knows me know that I need to fish a few times a week. I don't need anyone with me and it can be for 5 minutes or 5 hours... It does not matter. I don't care how big or small... I fish for bass, but when I get tired of bass fishing, I change species and it is all over again. With this being said, since I started hunting 3 years ago fishing has finally met its match. I cannot explain it... I think it is only because hunting has a season and I fish year round. But you never know what is about to pop out... or nothing at all. You can lure fish in, but animals you have to be on their time and pay attention. I remember growing up and talking about fishing and my friends who hunted always said "they cant wait for hunting season". I did not understand till now... I'll be fishing saying i cannot wait for hunting season. When I hunt, I take a fishing rod in the truck... I will fish during breaks. LOVE BEING OUTDOORS and taking food from nature... The only thing fishing has over hunting is you can throw the fish back... Hunting, when you don't want to eat... you don't hunt!
  9. I lived in Arkansas and still go back to hunt and fish. I have caught both in ponds. Word to me was that someone put them in there. One had a creek to it. I fish in southern Arkansas mostly. EVERYthing is those waters. I will post a picture of a fish i caught in a pond... I contacted Fish and Game and they said it was an oscar that maybe someone released from an aquarium... They think. I personally like to fish for gar, bowfin, and other predators when I there... So when I was told this, I went fishing in those places. Some people like to eat gar... its like chicken. Bowfin is absolutely delicious if you know how to process it. My wife wants me to bring it back to CA whenever I go back. Some places may have been fed from floods in the past as well... Just never know... I just know i have caught them in places that they "should" not be.
  10. It does not come with one and you do not need one... but you will want one eventually. Mainly for waypoints, map updates, created contours, and active captain stuff.
  11. Ramp was full, so I launched my boat fast and left it on the shore... Came back and jumped in boat with my dog... I'm thinking, why is my boat so low?! Did not put the plug in... So I had to run the pump while everyone looked. I soon after installed an auto pump. I keep multiple plugs on the boat as well. 1/1/21, I went fishing. I came home that night and I have never done this... But I backed my boat into the garage door. I felt so embarrassed. My wife ran outside and I quickly fixed it by pushing it back out... It is not really noticeable, but i hate the fact that it happened. I was talking on the phone and what is usually a quick forward and reverse became a back & forth nightmare. It is still not where i want it...
  12. I know far too many ponds in Arkansas where people have put gar, pike, pickerel and other fish in and they just kill the other fish... Now on the other hand... I have a pond that i fish that is a pretty good size. I have caught large bass out of it as well as panfish, pike, and other fish... So it just all depends on size and sustainability. Here in CA... I would not do it... There are "pike" in the state that people have brought in, but if they get out they might do a kill off to get rid of them. I believe if you catch on in CA, you are supposed to kill it and report it to fish and wildlife. Outside of not being native, they are fun to catch ... We just have to go out of state to do so.
  13. Thanks. Yeah, those gatorbaks look nice. I was in a quick rush to get mine fixed, but I would love to put something other than carpet on next time. I did not realize the screws had come out. I tried to just go bigger, but that did not work because the wood was so tore up in the hole.
  14. Just some pictures of my bunks. I replaced the bunks after. Two failed on my summer road trip. Two failed after fist leg from CA to AR. I noticed when I was in OKC that the side bunk was completely gone! Not sure how that happened. When I arrived to Arkansas and launched in the River, I saw that my bunk just about fell off. The lag bolts fell out on the road. Sorry to the flat tires for some person(s) on I-40... I think the same happened to the side bunk. I did not hit or get hit. The lags just rattled out. I replaced the side bunk and one long bunk and carpet in Arkansas. I treated the boards there with a sealing protector... I did not use treated wood. I brought the second board back with me and replaced it at the lake in CA. I did not use lag bolts. I countersunk a bolt through the wood and put a locking but on the underside... All stainless steel. This way, if a nut falls off, that is all I need to replace... Secondly, I left the bottom of the bunks exposed so that the wood drains faster. I can tell if they are going bad.
