Hey guys, I've found a great deal on brand new Abu Garcia Vengeance casting rods for like 70% off. I picked up a medium action 6' 6" yesterday and there are two more medium heavy 6' 6" rods available. Has anyone had good experiences with these rods? 

I have 4 of the Vengeance rods, 2 7' MH,  a 6'6" MH and a 6'6"M. IMO, they're the best $50 rod out there, and at 70% discount, you can't go wrong.

I bought a M/H one for a spinnerbait rod. It was on par with the black max rods. The 24 ton graphite is a lot less sensitive than the 30 ton graphite on the Vendetta and Veritas rods. One eyelet broke off. The ceramic ring fell out of another eyelet. I will not be buying anymore.

Great rod at a great price. They hardly go on sale just clearance for some reason.

Did it work well while it lasted?

I used to have one awhile back. It was decent. I wouldn't buy one again at full price, but I would by a few for 70% off.

I had had a 6,6 mh spinning rod and liked it a lot. It felt better than some much more expensive rods I've used. For the money I dont know if you could do better. When I was putting the boat away before winter I broke the tip off that rod taking it out of the locker. I  bought a vendetta to replace it. I hope I like it as much as the vengeance.

It was ok. Only lasted a couple months.

I don't have the casting rod but do have med spinning 6'6" and have caught hundreds of bass and one 9.5 lb.with it with no issues.

I had one of these when I first got started. It served me well for just starting out, I caught fish on it. If I recall the only thing that went wrong with mine was the foam piece on the forenut came off when I was tightening down a reel. It would slide up and down the rod when you casted or moved and got really annoying so watch out for that.

Unfortunately its a local deal and its all gone Walmart marked them down to 13$ a piece and i grabbed one. my only regret is not grabbing two more :(
