So after years of beating up my canoe it has a small hole the size of a dime. It’s in the very front of my old town saranac , wondering what would be good to seal it so it’s water right again. Also I’m getting my new Nucanoe frontier 12 and went to get a fish finder for it. Wondering the best way or best transducer mount to add one. 

If it's polyuerathane look at repair kits for Old Town canoe.

I don't think they make a 'satanic' model, probably the Saranac.  I think those are only made in the 3 layer polyethylene WRB spoke of.  Their (Old Town's) kit is probably as good as any, and even if your canoe is made of Royalex (I'm not an expert, but I don't ever remember coming across a fiberglass or Royalex Saranac) the patch will be fine.  Maybe you can say a little more about the graph and transducer you plan to mount to your kayak?

I use the Yakattack transducer arm on my NuCanoe Flint. Works well! 

 

My buddy uses the Ram transducer arm and he hates it. He says he constantly has to readjust it every time it bumps something or when heavy weeds get caught on it. 

I use Scotty products transducer arm. It is very strong, sturdy and no constant adjustments 

Read through the hull. Mount in duct putty. I have used this method for years with no problems. Temp readings maybe off a little is only minor issue.
