Swim jig/swim bait reels

Featured Replies

I get a lot of fish that hit these and continue swimming towards the boat.

In doing so, it’s hard some times to catch up to them and get a good hookset.

Im using a 6.2 ratio reel, but think a 7 or 8 would be better.

Whats your thoughts guys?

Someyimes it doesnt matter what speed your reel is. Faster reel will definitely help sometimes though. My swim jig reel is a 7.3:1 but I've used a 6.3:1 before and didn't have many problems catching up to fish.
