ok fellas i've decided i wanna try a daiwa td luna but not sure what size to order as i don't have any way to fondle before buying. what size daiwa td luna correlates to a shimano calcutta 200b and abu morrum sx3600? 203 or 253??

Where are you gonna order it?

253 supposed to compare with Shimano 300 series, but line capacity on Luna is a lot less, less than what state on their website. So if you compare with 200b (14lb/120yds) then Luna 203 (14/150). If it were me i’d get 200d.

Well I just bought my son a shimano Calcutta 200gtb and he likes it but I wanna try the daiwa if comparable quality and cast distance as his Calcutta.

I would say quality is close to the calcutta B series.

I had the 100 size Luna at one time. It was a decent reel. No complaints.

so, did daiwa stop making the td luna 203?? can't find any online. any ideas fellas?

For the 203, you'd have to look for used, or NOS.  They are currently making the 253 and 300 sizes in both LH and RH.
