Motor Guide Gator 360 mount repair

Featured Replies

Bought a new Min Kota same thrust as the old one and installed it. Ended up taking it back as the motor was very noisey and the low speed 1 was so slow it was useless.  So I took it back and came up with this solution.

The hinge door that holds the motor on a Motor Guide 360 mount broke off on the top hing pin. This is a discontinued  mount.  Ending up fixing with a metal pipe strap. I will add a second strap since there under $2. I didn't want to spend $250 to $300 on a new mount on an old motor. Reasonably confident this will work.

I broke the same type mount on my trolling motor last year. I was able to get used parts to fix mine from a Motorguide repair man.
