Waxing a boat

Featured Replies

Ok, After owning my used boat for a few years, I wax my boat for the first time, under the boat too (Wax on wax off) sorry I couldn’t resist. But I didn’t use a buffer. I now want to purchase one. Any Suggestions on which one I should get???

Porter Cable DA look at chemical guys website they often have very good sales. I bought a new PC DA on sale as a kit came with extra pads and what not. I ran a detail shop for years and still do it on the side and for the money PC cannot be beat.

Now onto the important stuff I highly recommend collonite 845 insulator wax for anything and everything you own. Polish with  a DA and a light-mild compound then use the insulator wax boat will look new. With that wax you only want an extremely thin layer, like can barely tell it's on thin. Make sure it is 100%dry or you will play hell removing.
