New to Vermont

I just moved to Vermont (South Royalton) and I was wondering if anyone on here has any tips for bass fishing. I'm walking distance from the White River so I plan on trying it from shore but I'm not sure what all is in there. Just looking at it I would think there would be some decent Smallies in there but I'm not sure. I'm mainly looking for some lakes within an hours drive (90 minutes max) that I could try from shore or a kayak for bass.

I'd also be interested in knowing if there are any clubs or smaller tournaments to get involved with in the area (as a non-boater). Just looking to get connected to whatever bass fishing community exists up here.

I've heard such great things about Vermont fishing.

You might want to reach out to @Mainebass1984. I feel like I've seen him post about Vermont fishing a lot. And he gave me some helpful info about the state a few years back.

Good luck.

Hi

I stayed in Woodstock on holiday which is not far from you.

I had some great fishing at the recommended places on the post above.

Also fished the white river with the fly rod for trout and have been told that there are bass in it.

The Vermont fishing site is a good research tool as well.
