Trolling Motor wiring...

Featured Replies

I recently had the fuse blow on the wiring for my trolling motor. Unfornatley I could not get the fuse out of the wiring and I got ticked off and I cut the wire and hooked it up straight to the battery. I know it was impatient of me but dang it I wanted to fish!!!! I cannot seem to find ANY wiring that I can connect directly to the old wiring that has a fuse built into it... Does anyone have any suggestions??

Why don't you out two stake-on ends on the wire you sp0liced together and install a circuit breaker in line. This way if it ever pops you can siply push to reset.

You can also use something like these, however I'm havening trouble finding one rated for more than 30a. You would need some water proof BUTT connectors to connect these.

I've got a 60 amp circuit on mine so if it trips I can reset it. Took forever to find, got it at an electrical supply store in Detroit.
