On the used boat I purchased over the winter, I have a Hook 7 mounted on the console.  I would like to put something on the bow so I can adjust my position when I'm up with the trolling motor.  But as always I'm on a limited budget.  I'm assuming I would put the transducer on the trolling motor.  What are your recommendations?  I'm thinking in the $100ish range.  Thanks.

A used piranha max 4 di would be in the $100 range and I'd bet you can find one on Craigslist/ebay/Facebook that someone upgraded from recently 

Garmin Striker 4 is about $120.  You might want to look at something used to get a bigger screen and options.

Garmin striker for sure,!  I used a striker 4 plus on my bow before moving to an echomap plus.
