no more canoe for me! i found this in the local paper and picked it up. its a Grumman 14ft. built like a tank. i put a couple seats in it so far, but dont know what else i will do. i like to keep it simple.

Congratulations on a getting a great boat. I fished out of a kayak most of the time, until I got used to my little 12 footer. Now my yak hangs in the garage.

simplejoe, i think i have narrowed it down to a tohatsu 6hp, and i already have a minnkota 40lb trolling motor w/ battery from my canoe. the local river i fish is min wake, so i really dont need anything bigger. i might go to some lakes around here that i wouldnt go in the canoe too

My brother in law bought the exact same boat recently with a 9.9 merc. The boat and motor was used only twice since new. I will tell you that the 9.9 is not enough with more than 2 people. We are currently modding it with floors and will snap a few pics of the transformation, so you can have a few ideas.
