I have a 12v, 40# lb thrust Minkota PowerDrive trolling motor.  Anyone know or can recommend what size fuze or circuit breaker I should use?

I have a 30amp fuse for my 46 pound Motorguide, running front of the boat to back.

The manual for my MinnKota 40lb Endura says a 60 amp breaker should be used. (Lists part number as MKR-19).

What I'd like to know is why the motor comes out of the box with spade connectors if you're supposed to wire in a fuse/breaker?

Do all of you guys run a breaker or do you run the moror directly off the battery?

I put a 50 amp inline breaker in, gives a little protection but also a quick easy method to turn power off when I need to.
