Taking a poll as to which fishfinder with the gps feature included has the most bang for the buck and how much?  It looks like most gps/fishfinder combos cost between $450 and $700.  

I have a color screen Lowrance X102 for the bow and a LMS-332 for the console.

The X102 is a very good unit and I mounted the transducer on the trolling motor.

The LMS-332 is WASS and it is great to be able to put in a river or lake map chip and then follow yourself around the river or lake with the red line to see where you have been.

I also like the color screen.

Cost?  Don't remember so I can't help you there but I think the X102 is in your price range.

Take a close look at the Lowrance 522.  Lots of bang for the buck, plus int has many, many lake maps preloaded.  In addition, you can go to Lowrance's site and download many more at no cost.

Humminbird 787c2.  $599 at Cabelas as well.  More pixels, more power and more coverage under the boat that Lowrance.

I have the 787 c2i with the QuadraBeam transducer. I still have a lot to learn about it, but so far I'm very happy I spent the money. I installed it myself without much problem. However, read the instructions more than once. You know, "measure twice, cut once."
