Featured Replies

Hi , For the first time today i used senkos, i was pleased with with three 2-4b bass they caught me but i was wondering why i would pay that money for a realy sot bait, every bass i caught it got torn up, so i was wondering is there any thing i can do to not make it tear so easyily or is there a nother bait just like the senko but more durible?

One thing you can do when a Senko gets torn is cut off about 1/4" from the top, where it's usually torn. They'll still catch fish, and if you start with a 5" bait, you can do that four times and still end up with a 4" bait. A keeper hook might allow more fish per bait.

Virtually every company that makes soft plastics has a Senko knockoff, many of them more durable. I've used a few with a high degree of confidence, as have many others, but there are also many who think nothing is as good as the original. You will have to try some yourself to see which side of the debate you end up on.

Please read the Senko FAQ if you want to learn more about Senko alternatives.  There are endless debates and many threads on that subject for you to enjoy.  They're all listed in the FAQ.

Folks - please do NOT start yet another round of Senko vs. (name your favorite bait) again.  We've done this dozens of times already.  It's all been said before, and is available via the Senko FAQ.
