Looking for a 'surf' jerkbait

Featured Replies

Hi!  I want to try to cast from the beach into the waves.  I want to try a jerkbait.  Saltwater noob!

What's good in the surf?  Is Lucky Craft Flash Pointer the right style?

Are surf jerkbaits supposed to float or suspend, or does it matter?  Do I want only shallow?

Any recommendations, in the 10 to 20 dollar range?

The only things I have now is a regular Pointer 100 with no rattles (do rattles matter?), 2 regular Pointer 78s (with rattles),  a Duo Realis 100, and a Megabass Trick Darter maybe around 80.

Thanks!

You might want to consider the Bomber Long A models, from the A-Salt on up.     jj

save your money and buy some quarter ounce jigs and some soft paddle tail swim baits.

I like DOA and mirror lures
