Hi guys I have a 12' v bottom and would like to get a 1436 jon boat. Is this worth the trouble? I just need some more space. I am mainly a weekend warrior but I can fish anytime at the gravel quarry I work at.

I know obviously bigger is better but would you do it?

    I just did exactly that and man it has soooo much more room.  I sold my old 12 fter for $300 and bought a brand new 14ft jon boat for around $700.  If you can swing it it definatly was worth it for me.

    Get a 48" bottom.  You will be much happier.
