Super Noob Question

Featured Replies

Don't hate on me for asking such a n00b question lol. I've mainly owned magnetic braking systems, etc..daiwas and such. I have one centrifugal reel, and I oil the race that the brakes ride on. Does that apply to the newer Shimanos? Do I need to add a lite coat of oil to where the brakes ride on? The paperwork that came with the reel is in japanese and there are no illustrations suggesting add oil to this.

You should clean it also light oil with Q tip to make the spool spin smoother. Also when you at it don’t forget to clean brake shoe where the part touch the drum.
