I picked up a pack each of the rage toad and rage shad. For those who have used these baits for their intended purpose (topwater with a 4 or 5 ought hook) what line are you using? Still mono or fluro?

I usually use them around pads, so I'm tossing them with my frog rod with 50-60# braid.

I like braid.

 

I want the line to float (typically braid or mono) and I need something that I can go up on the strength because I am usually throwing a toad into or around the nasty stuff.

I use braid for nearly all topwater baits.

I like power pro  around weeds. the 4 carrier line seems to cut through weeds better than 8 carrier lines.
