When unsure of just how far you're going on a lake, make sure you've charged the trolling motor battery fully.

Went fishing Sunday night for a couple hours with the missus and used the trolling motor a little bit. Went fishing in a bigger lake the next day but didn't take into account how far I'd be going with the trolling motor. The battery was depleted at nearly the far end of the lake. Good thing I had an oar and save the residual battery to spell me when my arms got tired. Took a hour to row/troll back the 15 mins. Ouch.   :D

I hear you on that...been there done that. But you really can not paddle a  plastic basshunter boat. Thank goodness the reservoir was mostly 4 feet deep. ;D
