Tracker 1542 Height Above Water

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a Tracker 1542 Jon Boat. For one of my local lakes, I want to be able to go under a bridge that sits pretty low to the water. Before I purchase, I want to be sure that won't be a problem. For those of you who own this boat, do you know how high it sits above the water? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is called free board and I do not have that boat, but would guess it cannot be higher than 18" .  We will see what others have to say.

I just checked for you and the transom height is 16.5 inches so the sides will be the same.

I don't have that boat but my 15' X36" jon boat draft was 3-4".  Don't forget to factor in the height of the outboard and/or trolling motor.

This is highly variable based on how much weight is in the boat.  This includes people, gear, motor, batteries, etc.

How much clearance is under the bridge? Have you seen other boaters go through?

Thanks for the comments guys.

I just checked the bridge. There is about 30" between the bottom of the bridge and the top of the water.

I have seen other jon boats go through there. I just want to make sure something around this size would be able to.
