Expride frog Rod

Featured Replies

I'd try the 7'3XH for frogging, the 7'2H would be good for open/shallow cover frogging.

I threw a popping frog this weekend on my Expride 7'2" H. It worked fine for it (didn't catch anything on it). I wouldn't want to use it in heavy cover, but for sparse weeds, its a great rod for the job.

I don’t really fish a ton of thick weeds, but better safe then sorry.

I tried a 71HF tatula and diddnt especially like it, too was too stiff to work the frog/load properly.

Then get the 7’2H, the 7’3XH is a broomstick and is basically a short flipping/punching rod. It will do just fine.
