What are the best crankbait setups?

From shallow cranking up to deep cranking.

IMO you can use nearly any medium to medium heavy or 3 to 4 power fast or moderate rod-reel you use for general bass fishing for small crank baits or lipless between 1/4 to 5/8 oz.

The deep divers weighing 3/4 to 1 1/2 oz a dedicated moderate action heavy or 5 power cranking combo is a big advantage.

I use a dedicated small crank bait rod; Loomis PR845C with Daiwa TD (original) Fuego, 11 lb Sunline Defier Armillo line. Also use MC Splash-It rod for medium 1/2-5/8 oz crank baits with the Fuego reel and line.

My deep cranking rod is older Lamiglas 705 rod with with Shimano Cardiff 300A, 12 lbs Big Game line. 1 1/2+ oz crank baits I now use my frog rod IRG754F with the Cardiff reel and line.

Rod-reel-line just depends on how I feel and cover or targets trying to fish effectively.

PS, I have no problem switching rods and reels to reduce tackle when not fishing from my boat.
