looking at a couple fishfinders

Featured Replies

for a first time buyer...

considering the lowrance x52 and getting the portiable accessories

also looking at the cuda 160 that i've seen on the boards a couple times, its also portable..

anyone have experence with the x52? any thoughts or other options?

My fishing buddy the x52 on his boat. It always works great when I have fished with him and he likes it. Obviously its not a HUGE screen but its big enough for most bass fishermen. MY favorite part about the x52 is its contrast of types of bottom. With a little experience I can easier to see the difference between a soft bottom and rock bottom. I have a hummingbird 565 its works great for me but it gets some "fuzzy" readings at times and it gets hard to tell what kind of buttom it is and type of stucture. the lowrance is always clear and has a very defined bottom.

hope this helps some
