help figure out how big of a boat to buy

Just off the top of my head I would recommend a 14' with a 48" bottom as a minimum.

 

The board members could be more helpful with more information such as how many people will be in the boat, what horsepower outboard you want to use or trolling motor only, what type of waters you will be fishing (small lake/river or larger bodies of water).

Bare minimum length & width regardless of horsepower, number of anglers, or body of water.

im going to be fishing small, medium, and large lakes for bass and bluegill
