Trailer rollers necessary?

I just got a brand new trailer for my 1436 Jon Boat.

The trailer has 2 bunks, but no rollers or front bunk like my last trailer had.

Are these necessary for a flat bottom jon?

What about side boards?

Any advice or opinion is appreciated.

    I recommend a flat bunk toward the front of boat(that sits perpendicular to trailer frame). I bought mine at Bass Pro Shop. It's on their website. Search for "Jon Boat front support bunk".
