Winch question

Featured Replies

I took the boat out today and a noticed that spring loaded lever on the winch hook has been bent.  Can i some how replace the hook without replacing the entire strap? Or is it even worth the hassle?   :-/ Thanks in advance

Mine has been bent for years but still works.  Sometimes I reshape it with pliers but it gets bent again.

Hey fishintime,

I have the same problem since #1 son broke the spring loaded lever on my winch strap.

Since I can't take it anymore, I ordered a new winch strap from BPS and will have it installed ASAP.

Right now it is a big pain to hook and unhook the winch strap to the boat so I know what you are going through.

The good news is that the last two times #1 son took the boat out he did not break anything.  ;D
