Looking to get one of the Xi5 motor guide trolling motors this spring so I can finally have spot lock and hook it up to my lowrance unit at the console.

 

Guys that have had one what are your thoughts?  Is it worth it to get it hooked up to the fish finder or are the minnkota trolling motor models with spot lock that much better?

 

Currently use a Edge series I bought 2 years ago off the clearance rack at BPS.  Works fine but want something to hold me in place with the click of a button.

 

I thought about a micro powerpole as well but 30% of my fishing is over 15+ feet of water.
