  1. There is some give but not a ton.
  2. I was in 52nd yesterday. Then Kyle came in swinging hard today. My first time doing this Fantasy Fishing league stuff and the only guy on my roster I know anything about is Kyle because I watch his YouTube. He only has 9K subs but I suspect his channel may take off slightly more with a strong finish. The rest of the people on my roster had other high percentages of people having them on their roster ?‍♂️
  3. That's funny. The MLF app pushed it to me today like it was a new article. Did not even look at the date on it.
  4. https://majorleaguefishing.com/featured/bass-pro-tour-enacts-variable-minimum-weight-for-2020/ Seems like a big change that people have been asking for that I really like. Makes it still a catch lots of fish game but limits it being a dinkfest. I wonder what limits at other lakes could be since it reads like a lake by lake rule.
  5. If you have one locally the Fleet Farm in Mason City used to give rain-checks for anything not limited to in stock only items which this AD is not. Have not tried to get a rain check in Des Moines though since I moved 5ish years ago.
  6. For us northern Midwest guys. Fleet Farm is running 15% off the Plano Edge series tackle boxes starting Friday in stores. Will probably be online too. I know I have been extremely happy with the edge jig box so far and will probably pick up a terminal tackle box. Decent deal for how new they are. The jig box always seems out of stock. https://www.fleetfarm.com/search?Ntt=Plano+edge
  7. I'm in the Des Moines area and my guess is mid to late March as well. While there is enough ice down here for people ice fishing the facebook groups are constantly talking about places that are not safe with really thin ice. There is no snow on the ice and my yard is already mud so we are having to wipe the dog's feet right now.
  8. Looking to get one of the Xi5 motor guide trolling motors this spring so I can finally have spot lock and hook it up to my lowrance unit at the console. Guys that have had one what are your thoughts? Is it worth it to get it hooked up to the fish finder or are the minnkota trolling motor models with spot lock that much better? Currently use a Edge series I bought 2 years ago off the clearance rack at BPS. Works fine but want something to hold me in place with the click of a button. I thought about a micro powerpole as well but 30% of my fishing is over 15+ feet of water.

  10. I am only about 20 minutes from Big Creek. It was my primary fishing lake this last year and its probably me but I did not have a day where I caught over 4 fish of any species specifically targeting bass. I have always heard there are good numbers in there of bass and crappie and you just have to figure it out but I have not figured it out yet. This is primarily fishing off a boat as well so I am able to move around a lot.
  11. Interested as well. Got into bass fishing in 2018, bought a boat. Got out more last year and enjoyed jig fishing so I bought my first punching rig setup over christmas with a 7'6" shimano curado heavy flipping stick and put one of the 60th anniversary daiwa tactula 100s on it. First technique specific setup i have bought otherwise i have a 7ft mh rod with a 8.1 reel and a 6'6" mh rod with a 6.3 reel. Have not been to any of the "good" iowa bass lakes I hear people talk about even though i live close to them so hoping to learn one of them good this summer.
