Dan, at Shimano jus provided this answer to me on what Carbon Tex drags that fit the SLX:

 

"It depends on the gear ratio. If you have an XG you can use the drag washer from the Curado 70XG. For standard and HG you will need to use the washers from the Curado 200I or 200IHG."

 

 

After looking everywhere on the net I finally found the 70XG CarbonTec's on dear old Amazon. I looked on the old reliable SmooothDrag.com and could not find the 70XG there, and this is the company who had them on Amazon...go figure.

The package I bought said they fit the curado HG and XG. Either way , they worked on the slx xt hg.

I would recommend only changing the big washer. The smaller one might be a different thickness and mess with gear alignment. That's what I did.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can change both with no problem. Smoothdrag is very good to work with. It takes a while for new model info to make its way through. They’re a small company and likely don’t have a direct pipeline to the Manufacturers.

That is what I thought.  They sure have been around a very long time.  Wonder if Dawn is still there for advice on what sizes for reel tinkerers like me.  If Amazon failed I was ready to call them.

i wonder if the same sizes fit the slx dc models too ? i was looking at upgrading my slx dc hg.

Dawn is very helpful. I have extra in stock for sale as well.

Notice that for the SLX SG reels use the drags for the Curado 200I and Curado 200 I HG.  Delaware Valley Tackle (DVT) on here has them.  The DC is just for cast control.
