Dobyns Champion XP DC610 4C

This rod is designed for skipping but will also make a excellent spinnerbait rod. I caught several fish Saturday on a 3/8 oz. War Eagle the biggest was between 4 1/2 to 5 lbs. I had no problem getting them out of the cover(which was not real heavy) & to the boat. They are one of my favorite baits. I also fish Texas & Carolina rigs for a while & caught a few more small ones. I also tried a hollow body frog & had 1 blow up that I missed, reacted way to soon. I think it might work with them in light to medium cover. I plan I trying that more next time out. I tried skipping & ended up changing reels 3 times before going to the hill To cut the mess I made & respool. I like a shorter rod for that But with practice I probley will get it down. I am going to put my Scorpion DC on it until I get use to it. Someone who is proficient at skipping will really enjoy this rod.
