My BPSPQ reel sometimes does not lock into the anti reverse. This is very annoying when I'm yo-yoing a trap where there is constant stop and wind during a retrieve.

Is this something I can tweek myself or do I send it to DVT?

Thoroughly flush the AR bearing and swab the rollers lightly with light oil. If that doesn’t fix it I’ll replace the AR or send you one. 

^^Thank you for the tip and offer!  I've barely ever opened a reel; where is the AR bearing?  lol

The AR is pressed into the crank side plate. If you’re not in the habit of disassembling for cleaning the whole reel could benefit from deep cleaning. You might want to consider sending it in. If you want to try DIY email me for instructions.

You’ll see a sleeve around the crank shaft that locks either to the shaft or top drag (key) washer. The sleeve spins inside the one way clutch bearing.
