you can do any combo you wanty, but i seem to let them sink and catch many on the initial fall, or a twitch twitch and stop an then they take it usually on the fall, whats great is not only do all the arms and legs and body parts lol make them look more unique but they also help them sink faster and with that reason i rarely put weights on them, they sink at a perfect rate

so jigging and twitching sorta like an injured thing would move?

Another vote for the Berkley Power Hawg. Most of the bites come on the fall, so I'll pop it up off the bottom to create more "falls". Sometimes though a slow twitching retrieve, keeping the bait right on the bottom, works better. If the 10" Power Worm won't get "em, the Hawg will.

The usual rig is a 1/4oz Ultra Steel weight, Ultra Steel Clicker, and  5/0 Gammy EWG on 12lb Transition. Same rig I use the 10" worm on, so I can easily switch back and forth between the two.

Good luck,

I like crature baits.......but don't really have a favorite as they all seem to prodruce. The ones I have now and use are the yum sooie, yum wooly bug, yum wooly hawg tail and hawg craw, the berkley beast and bungy hawg.
