Garmin / Panoptix Question

Featured Replies

I’m buying the Livescope for my dad as a retirement present.  I have Humminbird electronics now so Garmin is completely new to me.

I understand I need to buy the Livescope transducer but am completely confused by everything else.  Can someone help me with which screen to buy?  I want at least a 9” screen, compatible with Livescope and would really like to be able to make my own maps.

Hope that make sense and appreciate any help.

Garmin EchoMap Ultra 106sv is what you’re looking for

You can get by with a echomap 93 but the Ultra 106sv would be much better.  I run mine on the 8610XSV.  Besides the main unit you will need to purchase the Livescope system.  Don't just get the LVS32, you need the black box as well.  For another $100 you might as well get the Perspective mode mount as well.  These all will make their own maps while you are fishing without having to have the screen dedicated for mapping.
