Frogg Toggs Selection?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm looking into getting lighter rain wear for use out here in California. I already have a set of insulated Guide Wear and have used it on a few occasions when the weather was really cold in the winter. It is quality stuff, but I'd like to get a set of rain wear that would be more comfortable in the spring. I've done a search and some of you have suggested Frogg Toggs for use in warmer weather, but didn't refer to a particular style. I have my eye on the Pilot II Guide and the Java Toadz 2.5 (Jacket and Bibs) in a camo pattern so I can also use them for turkey hunting. Do they keep you dry and are they durable? Any of you have experience with these two styles? Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks....Joe

I have Frogg Toggs now 18 years old and they are still very comfortable on a hot day when it rains.  I thought they would fall apart by now, In reality I really have not worn them that much over the years fishing, but have worn the jacket simply for rain wear.  I keep the top and bibs rolled up in the boat bag and it is a small roll.  Mine are blue pattern similar to the HUK blue.
