deck/platform carpet??

Featured Replies

What are the thoughts on the different carpets you ca buy at the box stores. I looked at many different options at Lowes an they have a couple that looked good ranging from 50-99 cents a square foot. Should I stick with the rubber backed? Is there great benefits to it compared to the regular indoor/outdoor carpet? Also I want to go with beige but do blood stains get stuck in the floors easily? Thanks for any tips. I bird hunt from the boat as well and can get blood inside from time to time.

I used cheap outdoor carpeting on my boat. No rubber backing or anything at all like that just carpet to wood. Have thus far had zero problems in two seasons with this carpet setup. My floor is sealed with Thompson's Water Sealer.

I used @ $1 a square foot outdoor carpet , tan color, glued down to my boat's wooden floor. The wood is sealed and covered with fiberglass cloth and resin. Looks great. 8-) Happy fishing.
