Quantum Smoke S3 PT Spinning Rod

Featured Replies

I just picked up a Quantum Smoke S3 PT Spinning Rod for 70$ off, 7'2" MH, Extra Fast. I was was wondering if anyone had experience with this line of rods and if this is a good deal? Im just starting to move into more expensive equipment so any information would be great.

I like the feel of the rod but I do not own one. I had the last gen, was built like a tank but my hands are to big for the grip on the rod.

Hey,

Have you gone out fishing with your rod yet??? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the 2pc 6'10" MH but was hoping for some user feedback first

There seems to be next to no reviews or threads of these rods anywhere.  Has Quantum dropped that far off the radar that nobody is using even their higher end stuff anymore?  I, myself own a few Smoke S3 spinning reels, and a few Tour S3 PT reels, and think they are great reels for the money.  I do also remember all the issues I have had with Quantum reels of the past.  But getting back to their rods, they seem like a great buy for the price.  Very light, felt great in the hands, and seem put together nicely.  Just nothing info wise on them by people that have used them.
