Shimano Sellus Change?

Featured Replies

Noticed on TW that the Shimano Sellus is now blue instead of white. Anybody know if any components changed?

I have the previous white version spinning rods with composite grips and recently saw the blue version at Academy - it appears to be similar but I prefer the actions and markings of the white versions I have .  I would also  look at the Daiwa Avid X series rods at the same price range (approx. $50).

I saw them at academy last week and while decent, I feel like the daiwa aird x is a better buy.

For some reason I have never been too impressed with shimano rods that were priced under $100. They seem to be lacking.

I think daiwa makes a better rod under the $100 price point.
