Hello all! I am new to the forum and have many questions. We recently moved to Apex, NC, which is outside of Raleigh. I am getting into bass fishing again and would like to know if anyone here has any recommendations of places to fish. I do not currently have a boat so I will be restricted to the bank. Thanks!

There are a few spots around Harris Lake and Jordan lake.

 

If I was fishing from the bank for the next few weeks I would do to Harris and fish at and around the bridge on New Hill Holleman Road.  Above the bridge is pretty much all spawning and that bridge is a choke point for fish on the way in or out.  There is a deeper hole on the south side of the bridge you can reach from the bank/rip-rap that can be a natural stopping point.  A drop shot with a little fluke is usually good out there.

 

Jordan is harder to pin point with spots for me as it is so big.  I would look around the camp grounds and may incorporate the Navionics mapping again looking for something with contour within reach or at least deeper water near by.
