1998 Johnson Trolling Motor

Featured Replies

I just picked up a 1998 Johnson foot pedal tm. I am trying to find more info out about it... maybe even an owners manual.  I have Googled model # and serial #, with no luck. Ik some of these are 12v/24v.. this one however has no switch for that as far as I can see. Here is the information I have. Any info would help, it works great I would just like to know a bit more!

Model#: Bfx4TPP.98

S#: H 02948051

Works great with 12V or 24V?

The 90's Johnson TM's had a by pass switch for full power on left side of the foot peddle control that was easy to bump by mistake. The other issue was the turned sideways when you took your foot off the peddle. The result was bumping the by pass switch to full power with the power head turned sideways, you could end up overboard!
