I recently bought a new Lowrance depthfinder and would like to know where the transducer should be mounted. I have a 1994 Nitro. Thanks for your help.

Exchange the transduce for a trolling motor/in-hull model and install it in the bilge. You can do the same with the supplied transducer, but the flat face of the trolling motor one is easier to do.
