  1. Been there done that. The Motor Guide bolts are quite pricey and does not work for long. I had to use nuts and washers to secure the bracket. If you do not have long arms have your first aid kit ready for the scratches and cuts you will receive. ;D
  2. How often do you change your spark plugs. I have a Mercury 150 horsepower and did not change them this year.
  3. Be sure you have crankbaits and worms. Fish the points. I used to fish out there years ago. It has some good fish. Fish early and do not forget the insect spray. The skeeters like a good meal 8-)
  4. Hey you guys do you know where a fish keeps his money? In the River Bank ;D
  5. We fished Sardis Lake in Ms. on saturday and we caught quite a few. I have always heard May is the month to catch fish at Sardis. The water is up and muddy from all the rain. The St. Jude bass tournament is coming up on May 30 and I am sure lots of fish will be caught. Catch one for me. ;D
  6. I fished a tournament on saturday and when we started to the weigh-in I noticed all of my fish had died. I ran my aerator a good bit of the time. How do you operate your livewell. Help :'(
  7. If you are talking about Pickwick at Savannah Tn. Give Rodger Stegall a call. He has been guiding for almost 30 years. I fished with him last October and he is a good one.
  8. I have a ;D18ft Nitro with a 150 Mercury that I do not have a note on it is just fine. I would like to have a larger boat but not if I have to have boat loan. It is hard to make a payment when there is snow on the ground.
  9. All you Kentucky fans enjoy the ride for now. When the NCAA comes knocking on the door you will not be so crazy about Coach Cal. Everywhere he has been their has been a knock on that door. Where are all those banners hanging now?
  10. What do you fisherman do to winterize your boat? Do you run all the gas out of the carbs? Do you fill the gas tank up or just do you do to keep gas from gumming up your motor?
  11. Please give me some information if you have a x-135 lowrance depthfinder. I recently bought one and trying to learn something about it. Thanks
  12. Hey guys how often do you take your boat in for a tuneup or how often do you change the sparkplugs. I have a 150 Mercury and I do not know if it needs plugs or an adjustment. When idling it may cut off or if another boat is near you can not hear it. What do you think?
  13. I recently bought a new Lowrance depthfinder and would like to know where the transducer should be mounted. I have a 1994 Nitro. Thanks for your help.
  14. That's what you pay insurance for. If they do not cover it something is bad wrong with the insurance company. I hit a stump one time and they had to replace the lower unit. No problems.
  15. My in dash flasher has died and I was thinking about replacing it with a X-96. I need some feedback from you guys if you have used this unit. Catch a big one for me.
  16. A man or woman needs a boat. It is Bibical. I can not do without a boat. It is so relaxing after working all week to go out and do the fishing thing. Not to mention to see what God created and enjoy it all. Yahoo let's go catch one.
  17. Thanks for your response. I know Lowrance has been around the block a time or two and have good equipment. The Hummingbird has such a bright screen and appears not to have all those buttons.
  18. Ok I have read all the reviews and looked at all the depthfinders. Can anyone give me any suggestions. I know there are other depthfinders with all kinds of bells and whistles. I just need something simple which tells me the depth and shows the drops as well as show me the fish. I realize you get what you pay for but I not interested in buying someones name. Thanks
  19. God was watching over you. If you did not thank HIM maybe that is the next thing you should do. The close calls we have in life is not from luck. It is because God is watching over us all the time. Amen
  20. I will be glad to give it a try. Thanks
  21. Thanks for the suggestions. I will try to knock off some rust and see what happens. Catch a big for me!
  22. I bought a XPS three bank charger from Bass Pro Shop about two months ago and all I can say is keep your receipt. Mine quit working and when I went to BPS there was another guy with the same problem. Even though I did not have my receipt BPS gave me another one. I kept this receipt. Yeah BPS! The onboard charger are great when they work.
  23. I recently bought a 1994 Nitro which had been garage kept and covered. I hope you enjoy your Nitro as much as I have mine. My boat is a 18ft. with 150 high performance Mercury. It really scoots across the lake. Yeah you want insurance before you take it to the lake. Enjoy
  24. My running lights on my boat trailer are not working. The brake lights and turn signals work fine. I have checked all the wires and appears to be in good working order. Help me if you can.
