Couple Lucky Craft questions

Concerning Lucky Craft Lures

What is the differences between their cranks of years past compared to the cheap $7 ones now?

When I read online about the old ones being higher quality, is  the packaging that says Lucky Craft USA the lower quality cranks? I bought several of these recently and I am thinking they are not branded anywhere on the lure with any kind of company name or model. Does the better cranks wear the brand or model on the lure?

Concerning the Sammy and  Gunfish, I see they are available in different lengths. Have you tried all sizes and which do you prefer and why?

I appreciate any info. I have searched online without luck

I think the OP is talking about these..? If so than I'm wondering the same. I have LC baits but they're all 4+ years old and I've read the same thing about quality on some baits going downhill. I don't remember the squarebills being this cheap..

Yes those are the cranks I was speaking of. I bought 4 or 5 of those back in the winter from Cabelas and was surprised they have no markings on them. I remember back 15 years ago seeing the Rick Clunn associated cranks bringing $15-$20 best I remember and now as I am starting to build a box of quality Japanese lures the inner closet lure historian in me wants info to go along with the lures. I don't mind paying 3 or 4 more times per lure as long as there is a unique benefit that goes along with it.
