Caddo Lake - Texas side 3/28/20

Featured Replies

Launched at Potters Point. On the water around 9 and off a little after 3. Had a fishing partner this time.

No idea what the water temp was, friggin Hummingbird said 36 to high 300s. Water was stained to muddy. Ambient temp was low 70s to mid 80s then fell when the front moved through. Went from high wispy clouds to raining with a Southern wind that was a steady 10 to "oh crap". Fished main lake and channels.

Hit a floating log and sheared a pin. Had to be towed to the launch in the rain and "oh crap" wind, luckily there was very little lightning. Can't say enough about the men who towed us in under these conditions. God bless 'em.

Caught 4 slots. My partner caught 2 with a whacky rigged junebug and I caught 2 with a Texas rigged watermelon with red flakes.
