I found this lure at a yard sale and bought it. It is black with white stipes was woundering if it is any good?

you bet it is!  main stay in many anglers tackle boxes.

I concur, and I usually have the most luck with it when twitched very patiently near some cover.  Have caught many a bass on that and the tiny torpedo.

uhh, as long as the hooks are still sharp thats an ok price.  They go for, I think, twice that in the store.  I dont think you can replace the hooks on those lures though.  So if the hooks are dull its a bad deal.  You can always sharpen them but its never quite the same IMO.

Nice.  Thats usually about the size I catch on that lure.  Occasionally it will entice a bigun though.

The excitement of top water action should make up for the lack of size.  When you do eventually get a biggun' and on top water  ;D

I've caught some of my biggest bluegill on a baby torpedo while fishing for bass. The torpedo is excellent for large amounts of bass when the conditions are right.

Great river smallie bait, especially in the last hour before dark. I have caught a lot of fish on the Torpedoes.
