Combining Round & EWG Trebles?

Featured Replies

Recently watched Matt Allen's video on treble hooks for crank baits, jerk baits, & top waters; and when the conditions called for a round bend or an EWG on these baits. Fish slapping at a bait would call for a round bend, those that engulf the bait an EWG. Could you combine these two styles on one bait to get the most benefit for each condition? If so where which would go on the front/back?

I've experimented with this a couple years ago with cranks so yes you could. For the same reasons you said I always put the EWG in the front and kept the round bend in the back. Caught many fish that way but can't say if it was better than having two of the same hook.
