Featured Replies

I need a set of brushes and a new foot switch for my old merc thruster tm. Does anyone know where I could find those?

Also, the thing will only run for about 1 1/2 minutes on high before the breaker starts tripping. Will changing from 10 gauge wire to 8 stop this?

The merc Thruster on it's best day sounded like 2 loose ball bearings, hang it on a wall for memorys and buy anything 10 years old and newer.

I would really like to but.... finances aren't exactly cooperative at the time.

I was looking for some parts for an older MERCURY THRUSTER II & what I did was look on e-bay for anyone that was selling any TM parts & sent a personal message to them with the parts numbers I needed. I recieved several replys. I was able to find several different parts in different parts of the country. Give it a try, you may be surprised. There are people out there willing to help!

Good luck.  Garnet has it right though, those motors used to be nicknamed "Merc Thrashers".  Noisy son of a guns even on a good day.
