Caddo Lake - Jeems Bayou and Main Lake 4/25/20

Featured Replies

On the water at 9:00 and off at 5:30. Went with a friend in his boat.

Water was stained to muddy. Ambient temp mid 50s to mid 70s. A few high puffy clouds. Saw no contrails. Water was 2' above pool and holding.

Started in Jeems where I caught 1 fish with a toad on a grass line and he caught 1 with a spinner bait in muddy water in 2 fow with no trees or grass close by. No more bites in Jeems. We headed to main lake at 1:00. Started fishing tree islands then grassy trees. No joy. Then my friend caught another 1 with a spinner bait in shallow muddy water with no trees or grass.

We both put 2 in the live well. He also had 2 at the boat that got off, caught a gar and a fingerling that was thrown back to be caught another day. I had 2 bites and put both in the live well and both of mine were bigger than any of his bass! Gotta take it where you can.
